About
The IGCSE (the international general certificate of secondary education) is a test examination developed by Cambridge university in the UK. Think of it as the British SAT. You mainly take IGCSE if you want to study in the UK, but still the exam is accepted by many universities internationally. IGCSE is different from the SAT in almost everything.

Who
Cambridge IGCSE is designed to be taught as a two year course for candidates aged 14 to 16 years, although candidates may complete the course over a different timescale if they wish. In some countries Cambridge IGCSE courses last just one year and there are no formal age regulations. In most subjects there is a choice between core and extended curriculum, making Cambridge IGCSE suitable for a wide range of abilities. Students can enter for the level that is most appropriate for them and this need not be the same across all subjects.
Test dates
In IGCSE, there are many dates that refer to different subjects and different test centers. Just click on the button below, then click on the timetable that you want. Keep in mind that all the test centers are allocated to one of six administrative zones. Each zone has a specific timetable (available to download). The timetable for schools in the UK is also available.
Scoring IGCSE
The IGCSE is graded on an 8-point scale from A* to G with a 9th grade "U" signifying "Ungraded". This measure of grading is also found in the UK GCSE. Previously, the "A*" grade in the GCSE did not exist but was later added to recognize the very top end of achievement. In the case of Further Mathematics, an extra A^ grade was added for students that can "demonstrate sustained performance in higher-level maths skills such as reasoning, proof and problem-solving."
