About the SAT subject test
It is a standardized test which consists of 20 Multiple choice standardized questions given by college-board on one of many subjects to give them a higher chance to enter the college they prefer. A student may take up to three SAT subject tests per year. There is a pre-administration fee of $20, plus a flat fee- $21 -for each test the student plans to take. the flat fee doesn't include the language tests with listening, which is only available in November, as it has a flat fee of $26.

SAT subject tests are usually on the same day as the regular SAT, except for March. So you can take the SAT subject test in August, October, November, December, may, or June. For more information and the specific day click here.

Scoring in SAT subject test
Each individual test is scored on a scale of 200 to 800. You get 1 point for each correct answer, and a ¼ point is deducted for each question you answer incorrectly. That means you shouldn't necessarily answer every question, but guessing is always a good idea if you can eliminate two or three of the options.

How to register for an SAT Subject Test?
The SAT deadline for registration lies between approximately 5 weeks before the test date. To register by mail, fill out the registration form in the College Board's Student Registration Guide for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests.
